Hana Phone Bag – PDF pattern & sewing tutorial (German/English)

The HANA Phone Bag is a compact crossbody bag shaped by vertical folds that give the outer panel structure and depth. Its silhouette stays clean and minimal, while the folded construction adds subtle volume and character.

The bag is unlined, but French seams create a neat interior finish. Inside, a small pocket offers space for essentials such as cards. You can choose between different strap and closure options: make it with a cord strap or a fabric strap, and add either a closure tab with a snap fastener or a simple snap closure directly on the bag.

Finished size:

• Height: 20 cm, Width: 14.5 cm

Fabric recommendations:
The bag works well in lightweight dry oilskin, other coated fabrics, or a firm cotton fabric with some structure, but not too heavy. Lighter-weight fabrics can be reinforced with interfacing if needed.

Fabric requirements:
At a fabric width of 140 cm, you will need 40 cm of outer fabric for the version with a cord strap, or 55 cm of outer fabric for the version with a fabric strap.

Materials:

• outer fabric
• 2 leather tabs
• 33 cm bias binding for the inside pocket
• approx. 150 cm cord, diameter approx. 6 mm
  or 150 cm bias binding for a fabric strap
• 1 snap fastener
