Behind the Seams
Soft Fold Studio offers sewing patterns that are both practical and refined – designed with care and a deep appreciation for materials and simplicity. Learn more about the person behind the patterns and the ideas that shape this studio.

"I believe in slowing down, making things with care, and sharing what I know. Soft Fold Studio is about reconnecting with craft – not as a trend, but as a conscious way of creating. It’s about thoughtful design, sustainable making, and a sense of community that grows through shared creativity."
I’m Regina Winther – the designer and maker behind Soft Fold Studio.
With a background in Industrial Design, I’ve spent over 15 years designing bags and accessories for
international brands. In 2020, I launched kaala, my own sustainable bag label.
Soft Fold Studio is where I share my love for hands-on creativity, simple aesthetics, and well-crafted
details. It’s a space for slow-making and sewing patterns that invite you to create something truly useful – and beautiful. Whether you’re an experienced sewist or just getting started: I’m glad you’re here.

„Creating is a very tactile and calming process for me.“

„Every design begins the same way: pencil, paper, scissors, tape. My inspiration comes from many places – from the calm clarity of Scandinavian design to the precision of Japanese fashion. But often, it’s everyday things that spark new ideas: the shape of an old garment, a color in nature, a texture I can’t forget.
It’s a tactile process – slow, intuitive, hands-on. And that’s exactly how I want it to feel for you, too."

„A slower approach to making leads to a more thoughtful way of living.”
I believe sewing should be accessible – even if you’re just getting started. That’s why each pattern is simple to follow but open to interpretation. What matters most isn’t perfection – it’s the process, the experimentation, and the joy of making.
